Dungkhar and Piyang are possibly the oldest caves and its painting in Ngari Region. Its extensive cave paintings were discovered in the early 1990s. It is located 40 Kms from the Guge Kingdom. The most popular wall painting is in the Mandala Cave. If you are visiting the Mount Kailash Region, it is highly recommended to visit Dungkar & Piyang caves.
