This can be done as a week-long trip with an easy trek from Rebkong to Wendo in Amdo.
On the first day we will visit Lho Dorjee Drak caves, which is one of the historic sights in Amdo. In the afternoon we will visit and see Tibetan Painting culture at local artist homes. We start the camping trip with a visit to the biggest Rongwo monastery and local Tibetan Markets. We will walk along Ganza nomadic area and visit some nomad families and Wecha grasslands.
We will also trek through some less nomadic regions after crossing Konggan thang Pass (3400mt). A highlight of the trip is a visit to Longyangthang Monastery (This is one of the most isolated monasteries where Lhaku Lama was born, later he became one of the teachers of 14th Dalai Lama and 10th Panchen Lama) and Tharwaling Nunnery. During the trek we will visit local villages and holy lakes.
