The Litang horse race festival is one of the biggest festivals on the Tibetan Plateau, which is held annually in the 6th month of Tibetan Calendar. The horse race was traditionally organized by the Litang Monastery and regarded as a religious ceremony. Its a fantastic experience to combine with a tour of the region.
