Visiting the Mount Everest Basecamp in Tibet is one of the most important items in the bucket list for travelers visiting Tibet. The Mount Everest Basecamp is located 700 Kilometer on Sino-Nepalese Border on the Himalayas. It will take two days from Lhasa to reach the Basecamp, with one stop in Shigatse. There are two separate basecamps at the foot of Everest. One is for the Mount Everest Summit expeditions from the Northside and another is for the regular tourist. The access to Mountaineers basecamp is limited only to the Expedition members.

Accommodation: the only available accommodations at the basecamp is either the Rongbuk Monastery guest house or the Tent Hostels. If you would like to have the comfort of the hotel you can stay for a night in Shelkar town and do the days tour to the base camp. other accommodations are available at the Tashi town, Located near the Rongbuk Monastery.
